Snapshot Summary, May 2-6

Monday
This is what James brought back for me on a walk.
Sorry, not too many pictures this week because we put our house on the market and we have been sorting through 10 years worth of things.
We do take time out, however, for reading and math lessons,
and to smell the roses and watch the robins hatch.
We had Taco soup for dinner.

3
Tuesday
We studied Alabama today. We played games, imagined what it would be like to be blind, and learned how to trust, and how to lead with care. We had Mexi-Pasta and Chicken for dinner.

4
Wednesday
Steven had to go to his office today.  We learned about the Dutch in the Renaissance, William the Silent, William of Orange, windmills, merchant ships, lowlands, dikes, tulips and the East India Trading Companies. We had breakfast burritos and fruit cups for dinner.
5
Thursday
We had a wonderful cherry cheese danish for breakfast.
While for the rest of the world, Easter is over, but for our homeschool group, Easter is still on! The boys went to an Easter party today. We also continued our picture study with Michelangelo's Sistine chapel and composer study with Bach.
Radish Crostini for dinner, (steak and mushrooms for the kids.)

6
Friday
Today we cracked open the Thunderegg that Academia Celestia sent us in the Pay It Forward package. It was so much fun to learn about and they are beautiful inside. We also completed a picture study of Michelangelo's Creation of Adam. The boys then painted pictures on paper taped on the underside of the kitchen table to get a feel for the conditions under which Michelangelo painted when he painted the Sistine Chapel.
We had Asparagus Gruyere Tart for dinner (sausage with peppers, onions and tomatoes for the little ones.)
Trust
What we are reading.
We are a little ahead of our history in our reading, but that is okay.
