Snapshot Summary October 25-31, 2010 {Week 8}
Snapshot Summary October 25-31
| Monday: Lessons in symmetry are easier when they are Halloween decorations as well. |
| Tuesday: We used watercolor and coloring pages to aid our study of Fra Angelica's Annunciation. We finished decorating for Halloween and the little boys decorated the haunted house kit. |
Wednesday: We made collages of Venice with ships in canals as a starting place for our study of Marco Polo. Sam learned about Scotland in the Middle Ages, read Shakespeare's Macbeth, and learned that Macbeth and Duncan were actual people. Duncan was a king of Scotland whom Macbeth killed in 1040. Macbeth then became king until in 1057 when he was slain by a son of Duncan.
Thursday: I don't have a picture for this day. In the morning Sam did his literature, learning about bob-and-wheel form of poetry in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. James and Quentin worked on reading and handwriting lessons. Steven then took the boys to the park to play with friends and they stayed until dinner time.
Friday: No post for this day because what we did is a secret, not to be revealed until Sunday for our opening of Science Mystery.
| Saturday: Preparations for Halloween fun included decorating cupcakes. |

| ghost (Sam), train conductor (Alex), spiderman (Quentin), hula dancer (Katie), storm trooper (James) |
