Wednesday
Today we studied the battle which added an Indian province to Alexander the Great's empire."Treat me as a King ought" said King Porus when he was captured. "That is understood," said Alexander, "but is there anything I can do for you personally." "Everything is included in that one request," replied Porus. We made scientific investigations about the nature of water and of archaeological digs. We played a long game of Yahtzee and everyone cheered when James got a Yahtzee and everyone cheered when Quentin got a Yahtzee and then James got another and then Katie got one and then Quentin got another. Five Yahtzees in the game, all totalled. James made a spring confetti cake. |

Thursday
This evening we had mini-burgers and cups of steaming hot cocoa for desert for the hamburgers were not hamburgers and the cups of hot cocoa were not either hot or cocoa. After all, it was April Fool's Day. Hamburgers even a vegetarian can love. |

Friday
This Friday's dough was mixed and kneaded and games were played while it rested. But it was not a bread dough this time and so it was rolled and molded and given a hot water bath before being baked. Recipe here. |
